Moon Pennies grew from owner-bakers TC and Ken Farrell's desire to give healthy simple treats to their dogs, Greta and Cashew. Happy with the reception they received from their first couple of recipes inspired them to develop 4 varieties with organic and locally sourced simple ingredients. Greta and Cashew then took on the arduous task of quality control officers, working tirelessly to ensure that each batch of Moon Pennies lives up to the high level of K-9 expectations.
All of the little biscuits are made in Ken and TC's Bloomington home. Right now, Moon Pennies come in four varieties!
Harvest Moons, made with organic green beans, carrots, and applesauce.
Blue Moons, made with organic Peanut Butter, Blueberries, and banana.
Lucky Pennies, with organic peanut butter and pumpkin.
Milky Whey, made with real Vermont cheddar and apple.
All the recipes contain Fisher Farm eggs, organic coconut oil, oats, and whole wheat flour.
